Photographing Properties in Texas!

March 31, 2017 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

(Commercial Real Estate Photography) – This past November I traveled to Texas to photograph 20 properties for a client. I drove about 1100 miles in two and a half days driving from Houston to Dallas to San Antonio and back to Houston. The days were long and I slept like a log when I got home, but I actually enjoy doing this kind of work.

Gwinnett Cardiology Reception

Gwinnett Medical Building

March 14, 2017 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

(Medical Facility Photography) – This property was a lot of fun to photograph, especially the lobby and reception areas. Like all of the other medical properties that I have photographed I had to move a bit more quickly in some areas than I would have liked to, but getting in the way of any patients or staff is definitely not an option!

Catching Up!

March 7, 2017 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

Somehow it’s already early March, although if you look at just about any garden in the area you would think it’s early April!  What happened to January and February?  They used to be the slow months when it felt like time slowed down just a little after the holidays.  Maybe the warm weather this year made time feel like it was passing more quickly…which doesn’t bode well for the rest of the year!

Here is the second part to go along with my previous post! These are some of the plants that I photographed last year that I never got around to posting. I have posted the photos in chronological order from March through October.

Less than three hours until 2017 – Happy New Year!

Out and About 2016 – Fauna

December 31, 2016 Animals, Botanical, Gardening, Nature 1 Comment

Wow – it’s just over 4 hours until the end of 2016! And it’s been three months since I last posted anything! I don’t really do New Year’s Resolutions, but perhaps I should work on my post frequency in the new year =)

I didn’t spend nearly as much time taking photos outdoors this year as I have in past years. It was such a hot summer; I had had enough of the heat by mid-June! I was also busier this year than I have been in past years, which I can’t complain about. I photographed properties/buildings in five different states, including 20 properties in Texas in mid-November. I’ll be posting some of that work soon.

Photographing Medical Facilities – Part II

And here is the “Part II” post! I got to do some slightly more architectural photography at these properties, which I really enjoyed.  Here is “Part I” in case you missed it.

Photographing Medical Facilities – Part I

September 26, 2016 HDR, Real Estate 1 Comment

Back in late spring a client asked me to photograph several medical facilities in Stockbridge, Snellville and Augusta, GA.  I photographed everything from lobbies to waiting rooms, exam rooms, dental exam areas and the above Cyberknife in Augusta.  I had to arrive pretty early in the morning to photograph areas where patients are usually treated.  Shooting quickly was a must and I didn’t have time to tidy some of the spaces that I was photographing.

Pools, Pools, Pools!

July 11, 2016 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

It’s almost mid-July and it has been a hot summer so far in the Atlanta area.  Way too hot if you ask me! Where is the rain?? I’m ready for three months of October…jeans and long-sleeved t-shirts.  But until then how about some photographs of pools?  I have photographed these pools over the past two years or so (a few of them just within that past few weeks) in and around Macon, GA, Atlanta and Birmingham, AL.

In the Garden Spring 2016

I go out into the garden with my camera whenever I can, usually on cloudy days or during the warm light of late afternoon and early evening, looking for anything and everything.  Leaves, flowers, blades of grass, bugs, spider webs, frogs…anything that captures my attention. Cloudy days are great because the light is soft and there aren’t any harsh shadows and the light from the low sun late in the afternoon/early evening makes everything glow. I love being outside at that time of day…you can feel night coming on and the world winding down.

Below are larger versions of the images in the collage above:

Colonial-Inspired Home in Roswell, GA

April 13, 2016 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

(Roswell Real Estate Photographer) – I was lucky enough to photograph this unique property in Roswell, GA about three weeks ago.  The house was under contract within a couple days of listing but I still wanted to share some of the photos here.  The house had such a historic feel to it that I had to ask when it was built.

Updated Brookhaven Home

March 15, 2016 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

Photographing this house in Brookhaven, GA just over a week ago was a lot of fun.  The house was cleanly and simply staged and ready to go when I arrived.  The kitchen had been completely updated and was great to photograph – so many good angles to choose from!

Five Acre Property on the Ocmulgee River

January 28, 2016 HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

I photographed a unique property in Macon, GA a couple of weeks ago.  The house itself is large and quite traditional; parts of it almost look like they were designed to mimic a museum.  But what makes the property unique is its five acres and location on the Ocmulgee River (have you seen “Fried Green Tomatoes”?
