Squeezing in a Few New Photos Before 2015

December 31, 2014 Assignments, HDR, Real Estate 0 Comments

I wanted to post just a few more new photos before 2014 comes to a close. I photographed this property in Athens, GA the week before Thanksgiving. The photos have been edited and ready to post for a while – I’m just a little late in posting them! 2015 will bring more new real estate photography and hopefully some new architectural photography. And there will might even be macro photography.

New Photos from November

I photographed a property in Macon a few weeks ago. The apartment itself was staged with some pretty dated furniture, so I haven’t included any of those photos, but here are some from the rest of the property (click on each image to see a larger version).

More New Photos (also from August)!

Here are a few more new photos from an apartment complex that I photographed in August. I’m a little late in getting these posted, but it really feels like I just photographed this property a couple of weeks ago!

Graduation Season is (Finally) Over!

It’s been a little while since I posted anything.  Graduation season has kept me busy but is mostly over now.  I get to put the black pant suit away for little while!  This May I drove almost 710 miles, spent 14 hours in the car, photographed 11 graduation ceremonies and almost 4,900 new graduates!

I’m looking forward to getting back to the slower pace of real estate photography over the next few weeks.  I have an apartment complex to photograph this week and several commercial properties to shoot at the end of May and beginning of June.  Mixed in there will be a lot of Lightroom organization time and and some studying for the Adobe Certified Expert Exam.  I can’t wait!

(the photo above was taken at a nature preserve in Morrow, GA in early May)

Downtown Macon

A Quick Visit to Macon, GA

April 6, 2014 Assignments, HDR, History 0 Comments

I drove down to Macon, GA early last week to photograph a property. When I was done I headed into downtown Macon and documented some points of interest around the city. I’ve passed through Macon many, many times over the years, but only on I-75 – I hadn’t ever seen the old downtown area. Like most cities that you pass by on the highway time and time again but never visit, it has more to offer than you might expect…

(I replaced the plain, blue sky in the image above with one that has some clouds)

Merry Christmas 2013

December 24, 2013 Assignments, Holidays 0 Comments

Another Christmas is already here.  They really do seem to come around faster and faster every year.  I wish I could figure out a way to make things slow down.

I’ve had a few assignments in the past week to photograph some of the Christmassy-ness around where I live. I got a chance to get out and do a little bit of Blue Hour Christmas light photography. The Blue Hour was more like the Blue 25 Minutes. The first 15 minutes after sunset was still just a little bit too bright. The next 25 minutes or so were great, but I had to work quickly. After that I could still see a little bit of a blue glow to the sky, but it was too dark for me to get the shots that I wanted.

Assignment Shooting and More to Come!

October 22, 2013 Assignments 0 Comments

I work as an assignment photographer for a company in California. I’m primarily a real estate photographer for them, but over the past few months they have also asked me to travel around the metro Atlanta area and photograph popular locations throughout the suburbs. Assignment photography isn’t always easy – you often have to try to make something look good or interesting that isn’t very appealing at first glance. It’s been a good experience for me! I’ve also had a chance to visit a lot of parts of the suburbs that I hadn’t been to before. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the past few weeks:
